Description:

KNX installation in a detached house with swimming pool. 

By means of the installed KNX devices we integrate: 

  • The air conditioning of the house: The house has fan coil air conditioning and underfloor heating. The air-conditioning machines are water-powered, controlled by KNX fan coil actuators. In each room there is a touch screen that acts as a thermostat. With the same thermostat, we can control the air conditioning and underfloor heating, as well as control the lights and blinds in the room.

  • Lighting: : The house has On/Off type lights and in some circuits their intensity can be regulated. The lighting system chosen to regulate the intensity is the DALI system, which by means of a DALI-KNX gateway, we control the switching on and off of the luminaire, as well as the regulation of its intensity from the KNX pushbuttons and pushbutton panels installed in the house. 

  • Curtains. The KNX actuators can be used to control the curtains in the home individually or together (all at the same time). 

  • Control of the machine room: In this housing we control twoHydrokitHydrokitfrom Altherma, via a gateway directly to KNX. With this control, the usercan select the water flow temperaturesfor either hot or cold air conditioning. In addition, you can set the desired domestic hot water temperature. To simplify it for the user, operating modes have been established, where the user, by pressing just one button, sets the operating mode of the system. For example: In HEAT mode, the user can choose the option of Heat by fan coils or underfloor heating, simply by pressing a button. But behind all this there are several manoeuvres to be done, such as turning the 3-way valves in the direction Floor/Fancoils, changing the flow temperature of the water, etc. .

  • Control and visualisation: A web server has been installed in this dwelling, which allows us to create a customised visualisation for the user. Through this web server, the user has full individual and centralised control of the entire KNX installation, whether he is in the home or away from it, via his mobile device. .

Functions:

By creating scenes, the user can perform various functions with a single gesture and modify them as desired, using the mobile device itself.   

In this project, the user has control of the entrance doors, so that even if he is away from home, he can open the door.
